Midas Displays are pleased to announce that many new E-Paper (E-Ink) sizes are coming to our display range. This technology features ultra-low power consumption, exceptional viewing angles, on an ultra-thin display.
With the addition of the new sizes, Midas E-Paper will range from 0.97” to 13.30". There will be a number of colour options available for all sizes.
Ben Halpin, Marketing Manager, Midas Displays said “Since the introduction of E-Paper technology, we have witnessed the popularity and use of these displays increase year on year. There are so many opportunities for printed applications to be replaced by E-Paper technology, and we feel that the introduction of these displays will continue to grow in many industries. Midas have worked on some interesting E-Paper projects with our customers, and our UK based engineering team are in a strong position to help customers work these displays into their applications at the design-in stage. We are proud of the work that we have done with E-Paper since we introduced this technology to the Midas range in 2018, and are looking forward to introducing these new sizes, especially the 0.97”, which we believe will be hugely popular”.
Bi-stable technology allows E-Paper displays to retain an image after power is turned off, further power would only be required when the image needs to be refreshed. This technology makes E-Paper very popular in many applications, such as signage, where supermarkets are using E-Paper to replace pricing labels, and transportation companies replacing printed timetables with these displays.
The 0.97” size option will become the smallest size in the Midas E-Paper offering, and the team believe that it will be perfect for a number of applications, especially in the medical industry, with items such as: medical injection pens, inhalers, and pregnancy tests.
