Midas Displays is pleased to offer a range of reflective TFT displays. The reflective nature of these displays provides the user with excellent performance in high-bright environments, such as direct sunlight. They are also much more energy efficient than traditional transmissive displays, consuming at least 10 times less power.
Reflective display technology works by using a reflective layer along with the polarizing filter, to reflect the light back on the user’s eyes, instead of emitting light from a backlight. As well as being an excellent solution for applications that are exposed to direct sunlight, they are also brilliant for handheld devices, where power consumption may be an issue.
